OUR HISTORY
IDT , We bring joy to poor children !
In 1997, Dr. Baktha Reddy met Sr Stella D.M. at the Assisi Farm and Training Centre in Kanyakumari District. He was deeply inspired by her dedication to Social works and invited her team to start community development in Vadanallur, Kancheepuram District. Showing exceptional generosity and commitment, he also donated land. This allowed the new development organization to serve deserving communities in Chengalpattu and Kancheepuram Districts in Tamil Nadu. In 2022, Integrated Development Trust (IDT) was formally registered, marking the beginning of its structured interventions across Tamil Nadu, South India.
Today, IDT has grown into a dynamic organization supported by both long-standing donor and other local supporters and volunteers. The organization now works across Tamil Nadu, with a central focus on empowering single women, including widows, divorced and unmarried women. IDT also nurtures the talents and potential of disadvantaged children from rural and tribal communities.
Guided by its founding mission, IDT continues to uplift rural and tribal families by fostering resilience, dignity, and sustainable development. Building on its initial efforts, the organization’s work has evolved from general support for women to a strategic focus on Women’s economic empowerment, gender equality, and disability inclusion.
